1. Who you are agreeing with

These Terms govern your use of Bubba, a macOS desktop AI companion produced by KeepCo LLC ("we," "us," "the company"). By installing or paying for Bubba, you agree to these Terms.

2. The license you get

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Bubba on Macs you own or control, for the duration of your active subscription, subject to these Terms.

You may not redistribute the application, share your subscription with people outside your household, reverse engineer non-trivial parts of the binary, or remove the in-app branding.

3. Bring Your Own Keys

Bubba uses your own Anthropic and (optionally) ElevenLabs API keys. You are responsible for the costs and the terms of those accounts. KeepCo LLC does not mark up AI usage, does not handle your keys on our servers, and is not a party to your relationship with those providers. If your key has spending limits or content restrictions, you set those, and you live with the consequences.

4. Subscription and billing

Companion is sold as a recurring subscription billed monthly ($19) or annually ($190). Payment is processed by Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal linked from your receipt email; cancellation stops future charges and lets the current period run out.

5. Refund policy

See the refund policy. The 14-day money-back applies to your first charge, no questions asked. Renewal charges are not refundable as a default; reach out if there's a clear case.

6. Acceptable use

Bubba is a tool for legitimate work and personal use. You agree not to use Bubba to:

• Violate any law or third-party right.
• Generate content that infringes copyright, defames a person, or harasses anyone.
• Build automated systems that resell Bubba's functionality.
• Attempt to discover, exploit, or circumvent security controls.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Egregious violations may be reported to the relevant authorities.

7. Your content

Anything Bubba writes to your local machine (notes, transcripts, captures) is yours. We don't read it. We don't store it. We don't claim a license to it. Anything you send through a third-party LLM by way of Bubba is governed by that provider's terms.

8. Updates and changes

We ship updates frequently. Some updates change features. We try not to remove paid functionality without warning, but we reserve the right to modify the product. Pricing changes apply to new subscriptions; existing subscribers get notice before renewal at a higher price.

9. Warranty disclaimer

Bubba is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, KeepCo LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI is non-deterministic; you are responsible for verifying any output before acting on it. Todo Have counsel review.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KeepCo LLC's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for Bubba in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Todo Have counsel review.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold KeepCo LLC harmless from claims arising out of your use of Bubba in violation of these Terms or applicable law. Todo Have counsel review.

12. Termination

You can terminate by cancelling your subscription. We can terminate for material breach with notice; we can terminate immediately for security or legal reasons. On termination, your license ends and you stop using Bubba.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Todo Confirm state of incorporation, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes go to the state and federal courts seated in Todo Confirm venue.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be flagged in email and at the top of this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use Bubba after the change means you accept the update.
